News and Events for 2019

Please note on Sunday 23rd June Delbury Walled Garden will be open for the National Garden Scheme, but that the Hall Gardens will now be closed due to factors outside our control.  As a result the entrance fee will be reduced from £5-00 to £3-00. Our garden should be looking good with the phlomis and leucanthemum in full flower, along with the early penstemon and hemerocallis. For those who particularly wish to see the Hall Gardens they will be open on Sunday 28th July

We do not offer a mail order service but you are most welcome to order plants from our catalogue or nursery and collect them, at no extra cost, from the Plant Fairs and Events that we are attending.

The Walled Garden is open under the National Garden Scheme (NGS) on the following days, and will include access to the gardens of Delbury Hall [not usually open to the public] by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Wrigley.*

The Walled Garden is open for The Historic Churches Trust and will include access to the gardens of Delbury Hall [not usually open to the public] by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Wrigley.*

Sunday 1st September 2019:

Please note that there is a charge of £4-00 for entry to The Walled Garden on the above date. All entry proceeds are split between The Historic Churches Trust and Diddlebury  Parish Church.

* Please check details on the website on the day as Delbury Hall may be closed for a private function. 

 

ENGLISH WINE WEEK 2019: 

English Wine Week is Saturday 25th May - Sunday 2nd June 2019: This is an opportunity for you to come and taste English Wine, still and sparkling, from our Vineyard here in Shropshire.


SPECIAL WINE EVENT:  Date to be confirmed: 

This has become an annual wine event and is an opportunity to taste our English award-winning sparkling wine and still white wines at The Walled Garden between 1pm and 5pm. Everybody is welcome. Wine will be sold by the glass, bottle or case. There will be non-alcholic beverages for those who are the designated driver.

The grapes were grown at our vineyard Morville St Gregory and the wine made at Halfpenny Green vineyard.

We do hope that you, family and friends are able to attend.
